Why You Gain Weight Back Quickly After Losing it? [coRiAstER]
Were you skipping a meal like dinner or breakfast to do so? Or were you on a very low-calorie diet? You were consuming lesser Calories than your BMR, or Basal Metabolic Rate, i.e., the number of calories your body burns at resting state. By consuming Calories lesser than your BMR, you lose overall weight, so you also lose muscle mass apart from fat mass. Lesser the muscle mass, lower the BMR and hence poor metabolism. After losing weight, you start consuming normal meals like before but now you have poor metabolism than before and so you gain quickly. So, you need to maintain or gain muscle mass and lose only fat mass. Not sure how to do? 1. Get your body composition test done at any fitness center. 2. Don't consume calories lesser than your BMR. 3. Add resistance training apart from cardio to your workout routine. 4. Take at least 1g protein per your kilogram of your bodyweight. 5. Increase it to 1.5-2X gradually over a period of time. 6. Hydrate yourself well and sleepwell for 7-8 hours for muscle recovery. 7. And most important - Be patient with the process and be regular!
