The Life & Career of Sanaa Lathan | Yale Drama, Love & Basketball Becoming a Cult Classic, Directing [kR7RqjXGz]
American actress Sanaa Lathan was born in New York City on September 19, 1971. She’s the daughter of Eleanor McCoy, a Broadway performer and dancer and Stan Lathan, a television and film director and television producer. When her parents divorced, she had to adapt to a bicoastal lifestyle, shutting back and forth between Los Angeles and New York. Sanaa went on to attend the University of California at Berkeley where she earned a Bachelor’s degree in English. As an undergrad, she began to perform with the Black Theatre Workshop, and decided to apply for the master’s program at the Yale School of Drama. After graduating with her Masters in Fine Arts, Sanaa came back to New York and started to perform off-Broadway. With some encouragement from her father, she eventually decided to go back to the West Coast to take advantage of opportunities in the film and television industries. #SanaaLathan #TheBestMan #LoveandBasketball SOURCES: https://books.google.ca/books?id=X7ZYsnTPIhwC&q=Sanaa+Lathan++%22september+19%22&pg=PA197&redir_esc=y#v=snippet&q=Sanaa%20Lathan%20%20%22september%2019%22&f=false https://books.google.ca/books?id=wdMDAAAAMBAJ&q=sanaa+lathan+and+master+of+fine+arts+yale&pg=PA46&redir_esc=y#v=snippet&q=sanaa%20lathan%20and%20master%20of%20fine%20arts%20yale&f=false https://www.orlandosentinel.com/2000/04/21/sanaa-lathans-got-game-with-role-in-basketball-film/ https://www.backstage.com/magazine/article/sanaa-lathan-interview-photos-on-the-come-up-75488/ https://www.esquire.com/entertainment/interviews/a455/esq1103-nov-opener-rev/ https://www.bet.com/article/sj2khn/sanaa-lathan-s-surprising-first-job https://www.elle.com/culture/movies-tv/a41464038/sanaa-lathan-most-iconic-movie-tv-roles/ https://www.vibe.com/features/editorial/sanaa-lathan-on-the-come-up-interview-1234694530/ https://www.essence.com/gallery/sanaa-lathan-best-performances/#1495990 https://www.essence.com/celebrity/sanaa-lathan-on-idea-marriage-having-life-partner-being-happy/ https://atlantablackstar.com/2019/10/17/im-focused-on-loving-myself-sanaa-lathan-talks-about-the-pressure-on-black-women-to-get-married/ https://people.com/movies/sanaa-lathan-denies-biting-beyonce/ https://people.com/sanaa-lathan-on-love-and-basketball-ahead-of-25th-anniversary-exclusive-8700195 https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sanaa_Lathan https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AN96VvLgIPA&ab_channel=JenniferHudsonShow C O N N E C T W I T H M E!
