RealityTVserieS Counting On Fans Slam Joy-Anna Duggar Over Insensitive Comments About Anorexia Joy-Anna Duggar found herself in the hot seat after making insensitive comments about weight on social media. Fans blasted the Counting On star after she recommended a weight loss program to someone on Instagram who struggles with eating disorders. The drama started after Duggar shared her own weight loss story with fans on social media. The Counting On star revealed that her health coach dropped close to 50 pounds after following a new diet, which prompted fans to ask for more info. According to In Touch Weekly, things took a turn for the worse when Duggar recommended the program to a person who admitted that they struggle with anorexia. Fans quickly slammed the Counting On star for not being qualified to offer such advice, especially given how she might not understand the health concerns. “I don’t think you’re qualified to determine whether this is a safe weight loss plan from someone who has been anorexic,” one fan wrote. Duggar shed considerable weight after welcoming her first child, Gideon, with husband Austin Forsyth, last year. The reality star credits hiring a health coach for helping her lose the weight. Not only did the coach help prep meals for her, but they also made sure she kept the weight off after she reached her goal. In fact, Duggar told fans on social media that she can hook them up with a good health coach if they are interested in losing weight. Although Duggar uses a MLM company called Optavia, she does not get any money for recommending people. Duggar has not responded to the backlash she received on social media. Although she made some questionable comments about weight loss, she seems to be genuinely trying to help people live healthier lives. The biggest question, of course, is whether or not her Duggar siblings will follow the same path and listen to her advice.
