I'm in apprentice mode today as my good friend and special guest Sonia shares a recipe for Oatmeal Cinnamon Water (similar to Horchata which is made with rice) This drink is actually very tasty, creamy, and refreshing! Oatmeal Cinnamon Water (This recipe made 1 liter) 1 Cup Old Fashioned oats (uncooked) 1 or 2 cinnamon sticks 3 Cups water • 1 Cup water(used to soak oatmeal and cinnamon sticks over night) • 1 Cup water(used to blend with cinnamon stick in blender) • 1 Cup water(used to blend with oatmeal in blender) 1/2 cup sugar(or more if desired) 1 Can evaporated milk (we used 3 cups of lowfat cows milk. Can also use almond milk) 1 tsp vanilla flavoring Serve over ice for a creamy, refreshing, and flavorful drink! Music courtesy of YouTube
