I was lucky enough to be invited to an event Aetna, a CVS Health Company hosted in Boston along with their collaborators at Apple to officially launch #Attain, the new Apple Watch-powered platform that drives healthier behavior. While I may not personally agree with all of the things they reward you for, I do absolutely agree with the intent here. The way to move the needle on health is through getting us to proactively live better and stay ahead of our health risks through activity and smart choices. It rewards movement, sleep and other actions (more to come) and provides tips and guidance all in a personalized way based on your body and your health history. Attain helps drive better health behavior on the whole, and I applaud that. You earn points for activity and behaviors, and those points can be used to pay for your Apple Watch or get gift cards from some great, national brands like Apple, Best Buy, Target, Fandango and others. While I don't think it's for highly active, wellness-focused people like me, I think it is for the vast majority of Americans. If Aetna is your insurer and you have or want an Apple Watch, go to http://www.attainbyaetna.com to get on the list for the official launch in the spring!
