With the amount of trails I have done in the last couple of weeks, it's hard to believe I had food poisoning--except I remember it all too well! Sorry my upload schedule was affected, but if you've ever had food poisoning, you understand. And no, it was not from my own cooking! Let's just say there is a barbeque restaurant I will never go to again. There's something about being on trail that just...gives me such a sense of serenity and satisfaction. Often I will just stop and listen, and whether I hear leaves rustling, a creek babbling, or friends laughing...outside I know peace. In today's video: —A bit too much wind. Sorry! —A kid's first triumphant first hike! —A sandwich disappears —A man struggles with his backpack —My favorite bird If you enjoy this video, please give it a thumbs up and hit the ol' subscribe button to help a girl out. =========== About me: I'm Brittany: a 35-year-old wife, a doggy-mama to two elderly girls named Daisy and Lily. I'm a former chef who left the culinary industry in 2019 to pursue a career in freelance writing. I'm on a quest to lose 100 pounds--maybe more, we'll see. I am sick of always being home, so once a week I hit the road and go on an adventure where I discuss how my weight loss is going and various topics related to my journey. My diet and exercise: After all the restrictive diets I've tried and failed in the past, I'm finally happy with only concerning myself with calories in/calories out. Typically, I eat around 1500-1800 calories per day, sometimes more depending on how much or how hard I've exercised. I aim for a minimum of 150 minutes of cardio per week. I started the gym again so I can build lean muscle, and I try going on hikes each week. At the time of uploading this video, I am down 63.5ish pounds. =========== Disclaimer No. 1: In my videos I talk about weight loss, calories, exercise, amongst other things, both related and unrelated to weight loss. If any of that is triggering for you, it's probably best to skip me. Also, take nothing I say as advice as I am not a doctor nor a dietician and even if I was, I do not know what your unique situation is like. I am merely expressing my opinions and sharing what is and is not working for me. Please, please always do your own research and consult your healthcare practitioner before implementing anything I might mention into your own health or weight loss journey. Just because something works for one, does not mean it is going to work for all. Research! Research! Research! Disclaimer no. 2: Occasionally, I will share affiliate links.
