The One Show viewers were left completely gobsmacked during Thursday's episode of the show after Hugh Bonneville made an appearance.  The actor appeared via video link with Jenni Murray, who once appeared in his show W1A opposite him.  Hosts Alex Jones and Gethin Jones showed a clip of their scene, and Hugh, 56, looked completely different, making fans wonder if it really was him on their screens.  Viewers rushed to Twitter to share their amazement at his transformation.  One said: "Wow, I didn't recognise Hugh Bonneville on The One Show to start with! What a transformation."  Another wrote: "Hugh Bonneville or Bear Grylls?"  A third tweeted: "Blimey, Hugh Bonneville is half the man he used to be."  And someone else added: "Hugh Bonneville is unrecognisable on The One Show, he's lost loads of weight."  While a fifth wrote: "I almost didn't recognise Hugh Bonneville on The One Show to start with! What a transformation!"  Hugh and Jenni were both on to talk about different projects, however their small reunion led to a lot of laughs on-screen.  Later on in the show, Hugh returned to discuss the real reason he was on – Pin Your Thanks.  The organisation was put together by a founding member of a coronavirus volunteering group from south east London.  They wanted to find a way to thank the volunteers that had helped out everyone during the pandemic.  There are now a wide variety of pin badges available to buy designed by celebrities including Keira Knightley, Ringo Starr, Joe Lycett and Emeli Sandé.  But Hugh was on The One Show to crown the winner of the Kids Do Design competition – 10-year-old Evie.  This is a live TV story and is constantly being updated.  Please refresh the page regularly to get the latest TV updates.  TV & Showbiz reporters are working to source the latest information, reaction, pictures and video related to this story.  You can also follow us on Twitter @DailyStar, or follow us on Instagram @dailystar to get the latest TV and celeb gossip 24 hours a day.  Or like our Daily Star Showbiz Facebook page to get the day's biggest stories, and have your say on them.  Why not also subscribe to receive our regular Daily Star showbiz newsletters?  You can do this on this page by simply entering your email address above and hitting 'subscribe'.  Download the Daily Star app for flash alerts on the biggest stories of the day, so you don't miss out.  Why not also subscribe to receive our regular Daily Star news bulletins?
