How to avoid hunger while intermittent fasting! [ILorKLsNf]
Here are some tips I’ve found to help me avoid hunger while fasting! Hunger pangs or stomach growling shortly after consuming something is a clear signal you probably broke your fast! 👀 We are all different and some things that might make you feel hungry might actually help someone else fast! It’s about learning your body and how your body reacts to drinks! 1. Cut out all cream or anything extra you add to your coffee! For some people sweeteners link monk fruit doesn’t cause them to feel hungry while fasting but this is something you’ll want to test for yourself! I drink my coffee iced, black with either a little monk fruit or yakon syrup which also doesn’t cause hunger pangs or growling for me! 2. Slowly move your eating window back an hour per week vs overnight jumping into an aggressive fasting time frame! 3. Deploy tools to help with extending your fast like adding in free cell ketones, I use these fasted and they’ve helped me power through even 24 hours or longer fasts without any hunger! Give your body time to adjust to your new schedule, it takes about 3 days for your body to stop releasing ghrelin at the times you are used to eating food! 5. Being consistent with your fasting times can help train your body to know when food will come. This adaptation is good but it can also work against you! so make sure you do this in a way that’s aligned with your goals! 6. Most people will say not to have carbs in your eating window but I’ve actually found carbs help me with fasting as my body isn’t lacking the glycogen to fuel my brain, at the end of the day if something feels good for you, do that! If you find eating lower carbs keeps you from feeling hunger then that is a good sign you know what to do! If you find it easier to fast longer with the carbs like me, then that is perfect!
