George Clooney was hospitalised after ‘losing 25 pounds too quickly for new film’ [FppAXdArS]

George Clooney believes his 25 pound weight loss for his new movie was to blame for his recent hospitalisation.  The 59-year-old both directs and stars in The Midnight Sky, and plays a scientist who must venture through the Arctic Circle with a young girl to warn off a returning spaceship following a global catastrophe.  For the role, Clooney lost nearly two stone, but he believes the way he went about losing the weight landed him in hospital with pancreatitis.  Four days before he was due to start filming The Midnight Sky, the actor was rushed to hospital with stomach pains, and was eventually diagnosed with pancreatitis – a disease where the pancreas becomes inflamed.  Clooney told the Mirror: ‘I think I was trying too hard to lose the weight quickly and probably wasn’t taking care of myself.’  While some cases of pancreatitis can be life-threatening, Clooney recovered and was discharged after a few days.  Pancreatitis is often caused by drinking too much alcohol, gallstones or a ... https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCVL_vz0hCA58n0pRnlReHnQ?sub_confirmation=1
