I have always been looking for high protein bar recipes that are also low in fat and low in carbs. Most of the recipes I tried always used peanut butter and that just pushed the calories up which we all know is difficult to control when you want to be in a calorie deficit. These are low calorie protein bars are the perfect snack if you are just looking for something quick and easy to last you until your next meal. I can not explain to you how blown away I was with these protein bars, they were so easy to make and they literally tasted like Ben & Jerry's cookie dough. I know this bar might not look too good, but I promise you that you shouldn't judge this book by it's cover! All you need for these protein bars are: 50g Whey Protein 25g Greek Yogurt I added 5g of Sugar free chocolate chips in as well. The recipe makes either one bar that weighs 80g, or you can divide it in two pieces and then have two 40g pieces. The macros for the 40g bar is: Calories - 112 Protein - 18g Carbs - 4g Fats - 2.3g These macros include the choc chips So when you blend everything together the dough mixture does get quite sticky, so I highly recommend to add some cooking spray onto your hands to make it easier to work with. I used the Just Protein whey protein powder which you can get here: https://www.justprotein.co.za/products/just-protein-premium-whey-protein I really hope you can use this recipe to help you reach your fitness goals! Until next time.
