According to the DJ, he was inspired by a movie to try his hand at dealing with cocaine. Trusting a former drug dealer, Vlad handed over a whopping $17,000 for a kilo. However, the deal turned sour, and the drug purchase turned out to be a fraud. Vlad pointed to this experience to explain how some celebrities, used to high-flying lifestyles, turn to illegal activities to maintain their level of living despite their careers slowing down. As part of the conversation, he cited the example of Jam Master Jay of Run-DMC fame, who was allegedly dealing in drugs before he was killed.
